Cowon D3 Plenue, PMP Android

For those of you who are looking for Portable Music Player (PMP), but a bit saturated with products from Apple, might glance at the latest products from Korean manufacturers of gadgets, Cowon. Cowon D3 Plenue is a portable media player to compete with Samsung's latest Galaxy Player and Apple iPod. Plenue D3 is running Google Android 2.1 Eclair in it with a 3.7-inch AMOLED screen makes Plenue D3 is almost like an Android smartphone without the phone features. COWON D3 Plenue AMOLED screen supports a resolution of 800 × 480 pixels. D3 Plenue claimed to support HD 1080p video playback. However, it is difficult to see the difference between 720p and 1080p HD HD on 3.7-inch screen. Audiophiles can really utilize this Plenue D3 because it supports most popular formats including lossless - FLAC, M4A and Monkey Audio format. Other Audio formats supported are WMA, MP3/2/1, OGG, WAV, ASF FLAC, APE and M4A. To enhance the audio experience, D3 Plenue JetEffect 3.0 comes with a carry 39 preset, 5 Band Equalizer, BBE + and Special Effects including Reverb and Stereo Enhance. Video playback with AMOLED touchscreen display and a myriad of different video formats are supported. Other video formats are supported are AVI, WMV, MP4, ASF, MKV, MPG, DAT, TS, TP, TRP, and 3GP. Cowon D3 Plenue also supports special codecs such as DivX, Xvid, H.264, WMV and MPEG 9/8/7 1. Of course you can play full 1080p HD movies on this player. Another feature of the D3 Plenue include Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi (802.11 b / g), T-DMB, a built-in mic and FM Radio. COWON also added an HDMI port for connecting the PMP to the HD TV. COWON D3 is aimed PMP Plenue Audiophiles and comes in storage sizes of 8GB, 16GB and 32GB. This PMP also has a microSD memory slot for further storage expansion. It seems that this product could be a replacement iPod touch in terms of audio and video experience, and will stand head to head with the Galaxy Player at CES 2011. Prices and the official release date of this sophisticated product is still unknown, but presumably the gadget mania worth saving to get it.
